COURTNEY HOPE - Free Your Ghosts Photoshoot (October 2025)
I took a stroll through the rooms I once locked from my self.
Dust thick with old grievances.
Each shadow weathered from screaming my name,
Weakened echos that died out from evasion.
So I opened the windows,
let the whispers flutter alight.
Not to erase them, but to give them flight.
One after another,
they bowed in grace.
No longer hidden, given breath and dawn
Free to explore a new shape.
Their vacancy now filled with honor,
a mutual respect for the whole.
Hands unclenched, heart unchained.
Flesh lighter from released control.
The light will remain on in their old room of mayhem.
Indebted to the ghosts,
humbled to have housed them.
Finally valued in my heart, their desired home.
Forever altered by their presence,
honored to be guided by their wisdom.
